About me and my therapy practice

I have a background in psychological services and now work as a BACP accredited and UKCP registered psychotherapist. My initial training within a humanistic framework continues to influence my therapeutic style through which I understand that every individual has their own personal journey that is unique to them. Subsequent trainings have allowed me to develop an integrative approach that helps me to meet individuals and work with them in ways that are best for them. As such I work alongside clients and have a deep trust that together we will learn what is needed. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space in which psychological themes can emerge, some of which may already be familiar and in the person’s awareness whilst others may feel more unfamiliar and unknown. In this way the therapy space can provide a place in which these themes and issues can be reflected upon with, and in the presence of another human being, in turn providing an opportunity to bring about significant emotional and behavioural changes.

Anyone wishing to undertake an exploration of the problems and dilemmas currently impacting upon their life can make use of the therapeutic relationship to examine and develop a curiosity about how their past may be effecting not only their present day living but also contributing to their expectations of the future. Difficulties that present themselves in our day to day lives are so often signposting us to unresolved or stuck issues from our past.

I work from rooms in both central Brighton and Hove both of which have excellent transport links and car parking is available (free or pay and display) dependent on time of day.
