About me and my therapy practice
I have 20 years of experience as a counsellor and have worked with a wide variety of clients in different settings. These include university students and staff, hospital staff, corporate clients and private clients, both adults and young people.
My qualifications include a BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling. I am an accredited member of the BACP, abide by their code of ethics and I am committed to continued professional development to keep the way that I work fresh and current.
I aim at all times to be non-judgemental and to have total respect for my clients as unique individuals and confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
My clients comment that they find my warmth, calm and ability to put them at ease has enabled them to relax , open up and really benefit from their counselling sessions.
Practice description
I am based at a friendly and welcoming office in central Leamington with ample parking nearby. Additionally I offer telephone and video counselling via various platforms. This has proved invaluable to many clients during lockdown.
My work with clients can be short term or long term depending on the needs of the client. Some clients prefer a solution focused approach and others may have deep seated issues that they want to unravel to increase their self belief and find a more satisfying way of living.
My first session
Taking the first step into counselling can be somewhat daunting. My recommendation is that we arrange an initial session in which you get to know how I work and if you feel that I am the counsellor for you. At the end of the session you can decide if it feels right and you wish to proceed.
If you would like to find out more before your first session I am happy to have an informal friendly chat over the phone or to answer any questions you have about the process by email.
