About me and my therapy practice
"Change begins with self-awareness"

My approach to therapy is tailored to working with you to overcome your life challenges – exploring with you how you feel about your life now, identifying what you want your life to be like and overcoming the psychological barriers you may face in getting there. My approach is directive, compassion focused and educational but always led by your needs.
I use a blend of approaches to inform our work together. These include:

I offer online therapy which has become increasingly popular for many reasons, most notably it’s convenience – there's no need to take additional time out of your day to travel to therapy, the ease and comfort of attending therapy from the comfort of your own home and the ability to choose a therapist from anywhere in the country. I started working in the field of psychological support 12 years ago, facilitating behavioral change programmes. Since then I have worked with clients presenting a wide range of life challenges and my compassion informed, directive approach has proven effective across the board.
Aside from my practice I'm a senior manager at a learned society within the STEM sector. Prior to this I worked for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy – currently as their Content Lead and previously managing their ethics service. Therefore you can be assured that our work together will be undertaken with the utmost regard for ethical practice. I believe it to be a privilege to work alongside my clients, creating a safe and trusting relationship in which to explore your needs and work towards your goals.
