About me and my therapy practice
I work in a creative way introducing choice to clients if they wish to work creatively or if they prefer talking therapy.
At the initial session I will work with you to understand your needs and develop an individual plan that suits your needs. In order to get the most from each session, it is important to develop an open and trustworthy environment. This will help you get the most from the session and feel in control of the work being done.
I trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor and have knowledge and experience in different theoretical models and approaches through continuing professional development (CPD), enabling me to work with your individual needs and issues that are unique to you. Working therapeutically with a humanistic approach ensures I work in a process devoid of any religious influences or pre-disposed beliefs.
My experience of work has been voluntary for Cruse Bereavement, Reclaim life, Hope Charity working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse and counselling children or their parent in a school. Along-side private practice with regular clinical supervision.
I only work with children over the age of 10.
