About me and my therapy practice
An appointment will be arranged where we can meet each other, I will explain the type of therapy I offer, answer any questions you might have and then we can begin to explore your reasons for seeking out counselling. We can then arrange our next meeting.
We will meet in my practice where you will be invited to share you thoughts, feelings, experiences and together we will explore them gently. Our session will last for 50 minutes.
Everything you bring to the counselling room is treated in the strictest confidence and all records and notes that I may keep are kept anonymous.
Periodically will review your progress and how you're feeling regarding the counselling. It is important that we both know and understand the counselling needs and these can and do change over time.
We will come to an end of the sessions mutually, respecting the work and progress that you have made.
An appointment will be arranged where we can meet each other and go over the reasons for seeking out support for your child. I will ask you to complete a brief questionnaire about your child's behaviour and will help focus on the difficulties they are experiencing. I will explain the creative therapy that I offer and answer any questions you might have. We can then arrange our next meeting.
We will meet in my practice which has a comfortable waiting room where you can stay during the session if you wish. Your child and I will go to the adjoining room where I keep my art materials and our session will begin. Our session will last for 30 minutes.
Periodically we will review your child's progress and how everyone is feeling regarding the counselling.
Drawing and Talking sessions normally continue for 12 meetings. This allows for the full expression of the three stages of therapeutic movement. This can be different for every child and an ending will be planned and offered mutually at the right time.
