About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes friends/family/work colleagues can listen but don't hear, they look but don't see. We can often feel unheard and invisible. We can all experience times when we feel low in mood, stressed, sad, or generally overwhelmed and these are normal reactions to life occurrences such as loss, relationship issues, work pressures. However, sometimes these feelings and emotions persist and cause disruption to our ability to function with day to day living and impact on our wellbeing or we experience more traumatic life events that have a more detrimental effect on us. It is at times like these that we certainly need to be heard and seen. This is when counselling may be able to help.
