About me and my therapy practice
Welcome and thank you for visiting my page. There are many reasons an individual seeks out a counsellor and I'm curious what has brought you here today. Whether you are seeking help with a single issue that has caused you difficulty or you wish to unpack a history of distress I am able to support you through weekly sessions. I have experience working with clients who have come to therapy to explore their relationships, their self worth and esteem, to contend with trauma (both recent and long ago), bereavement and loss, or to cope with stress, anxiety and depression.
I am an integrative counsellor. This means I’ve undergone training in a variety of techniques and approaches to help you, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, psychoanalysis, and person-centred therapy. I have a personal interest in ecotherapy and offer socially distanced walk and talk sessions out in a local park.
Every person has their own worldview and I value learning how my client’s experience, perspective, history and relationships impact their understanding of self.
I am currently working online over zoom, by telephone, and in person in parks.
My first session
When you first contact me I will arrange an initial phone call with you to speak about your reasons for seeking therapy and to talk over what you can expect from your sessions with me. At that point, I can answer any questions you have about my process, how I work, or about therapy in general. If you decide to go ahead we will set a day and time to meet weekly. I am flexible with my availability.
Once you message me please check your spam folder, as my email response may end up there. I strive to respond to enquires on weekdays within 48 hours, and by Tuesday for contact over the weekend.
