About me and my therapy practice
From feeling worried to full blown anxiety; working out a minor problem to making a major life decision; difficult relationships, loss, grief or depression to abuse or mental health problems. Whatever the issue, it will matter to me because it matters to you.
I focus on understanding your life experiences from your unique viewpoint, without judgement, paying attention to the immediate here and now of your life in an empathic and respectful manner. Then together we can explore your difficulties and look to draw resources, skills and strategies to help YOU find coping mechanisms and ways to make positive changes based on the reality of your life.
Finding the right counsellor is important and I welcome you to call and ask any questions to see if I might be right for you. If so, we can arrange an initial no obligation session before making a final decision.
I am a BSc (Hons) Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) registered, I adhere to BACP ethical guidelines for good practice, attend regular supervision to ensure I work in an ethical and professional manner and continue with my own personal and professional development.
I practice Mindfulness and am able to integrate this into my therapeutic practice for those interested.
