About me and my therapy practice
I offer confidential, person-centred counselling in a private, supportive and comfortable environment at Bolster Moor, Huddersfield.
I value individuality, honesty, integrity, meaningful relationships and empowering people to find their own path. I support people in distress and chaos and give them the safety and the space they need to explore past or present difficulties and help them to make the changes they wish to make and live a more fulfilling life.
I have 15 years’ experience of working in mental health, for the National Childbirth Trust, for Women’s Aid, homelessness charities and with individuals with disabilities. I have 14 years’ experience of teaching health and social care, and counselling in a further education environment. My counselling experience includes working for the Samaritans, Open Door Youth Counselling Service, and for Women’s Centres.
I currently work in private practice, as well as teaching counselling. I work using a person-centred integrative approach which is helpful for anyone experiencing emotional difficulties. I specialise in anxiety, depression, domestic violence, abuse, stress, bereavement, childhood issues, and low self-esteem and confidence.
