About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Hayley. I am a fully qualified, professional counsellor and psychotherapist who is deeply invested in the work that I undertake with my clients.

You may be going through a time in your life where you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or stressed and feel that you could benefit from counselling.

The good news is that you don't have to go through this alone, I can help.

I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment where issues can be explored. Together we can work though what it is that is troubling you with a view to enhancing self-awareness, personal strength and resilience.

About me:

I work with both individuals and couples.

I hold a Masters Degree in Relational Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Roehampton University.

I have extensive experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds. My experience ranges from working with ex-offenders and the disenfranchised to specialist bereavement settings, trauma, addiction, work stress, depression and anxiety.

I have worked in acute psychiatric services and have gained a wide range of experience working in addiction services at a private psychiatric hospital.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics.

My office is based in Wokingham town centre.

Please feel free to contact me by phone - 07791954979 or email hayley.anselm@aplacetotalk.uk

Practice description

I offer in person sessions from my office in Wokingham town centre, for both individuals and couples.

Online sessions are available.

My first session

In the first instance, I offer an initial 30 minute assessment call at a time that is convenient for you. During this time, we will discuss what it is that you are going through at the moment and what you hope to achieve from therapy.

This call gives me an idea as to how I feel I could best support you, and concurrently gives you the opportunity to assess whether you feel I'd be the right therapist for you. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

If you decide that you would like to proceed; we will agree a date and time for our first session.

During our first session together, I will collect some administrative information from you and ask you to fill in a couple of forms. There are no expectations of you, we will work at your pace and work on what you feel is most important for you on the day.

I understand that a first session can bring up a range of different feelings, from anxiety to relief. Please be assured that you will be met with warmth and understanding in an environment that is free from judgement.

I look forward to hearing from you.
