With 25 years specific experience in the field of sexual health, I am accredited  with COSRT and the UKCP as a Psychosexual Therapist. Also, with EMDR Europe as an Accredited Consultant Practitioner.  I work with people who are experiencing sexual difficulties and distress such as loss of desire, painful sex, vaginismus, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.  I also work with sexually compulsive behaviours;  most commonly seeing people with compulsive pornography viewing that has become problematic. I have worked in an NHS sexual  health clinic, within Relate- a national counselling service, for a local NHS trust in their sexual health counselling service and now solely in private practice.  I trained in EMDR Therapy at Worcester University in 2015/16 as part of an MSc in EMDR Therapy that I completed in 2018.  I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner.  Whilst EMDR is recommended as a first line treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by the World Health Organisation, its successful  application to other presentations has been proven effective in many studies.  I am specifically interested in the use of EMDR Therapy in treating sexual presentations.   Anxiety related sexual issues and difficult past sexual experiences can be treated most effectively working from this approach. This enables clients to make deep and lasting changes to their problematic behaviours, responses and thought patterns and move forward positively with improved resilience.  It also makes the work I do so satisfying being able to help people  on such a fundamental level. 

1 hour session for an individual charged at £80

The fee I charge for a supervision session is the fee that you charge your clients, or my minimum of £70 per hour- which ever is greater.

***Specialist trauma-informed sex therapy supervision offered***

 I offer Psychosexual Therapists who have subsequently undertaken an accredited training in EMDR Therapy, specialist trauma-informed sex therapy supervision to explore how these two approaches can be combined to make a robust client centred, individually tailored approach. 

For me, supervision is represented by a safe collaborative space for themes, cases, technical practice, relationship dynamics, and other fundamental elements to be explored. All with a view to develop the reflective practice of the supervisee and as such, enhance the therapeutic process between the therapist and their client.

Over the years I have completed many different training courses and have a great deal of clinical experience within the NHS, charity and private practice settings. I hold accredited practitioner status with the UKCP, COSRT and EMDR Europe, I am also registered with the BACP and ATSAC. I also am a registered supervisor with COSRT too.

I have a diploma in integrative supervision of individuals and groups in addition to the other qualifications and most recent CPDs listed below. You will see that I invest heavily in undertaking CPD way beyond the recommended yearly hours, I feel this is part of my duty and commitment in offering up to date supervision.

I am currently undertaking a PhD at Canterbury University, at Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology, exploring trauma-informed sex therapy.
