About me and my therapy practice

Therapy is a confidential space. I’m not here to judge or offer advice. I’m here to listen and to help you navigate the changes you want to make in order to grow and move forward in your life. I can support you to consider how your past experiences inform you today and how they might impact your future, whilst bringing attention to your present body sensations and awareness, for deeper exploration.

I work integratively, which means that I integrate a wide range of therapeutic approaches. I adapt my approach to align with you and what you want to gain from therapy. I am grounded in humanistic and psychodynamic theory and hold principles of body psychotherapy in mind when attuning somatically and energetically to our process’. I would like to support you to experiment with a different narrative; to discover unacknowledged parts of yourself; to feel more alive and at home within your body. Core to my approach is cultivating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.

I believe that therapy is a creative and collaborative process; a unique and co-created space. I don’t advocate that one size fits all.

Practice description

As well as working in private practice, I hold over 7 years experience working within the field of mental health. I have used recovery-oriented practices and have worked with many people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I have helped people through difficult life transitions, enabling ways to develop confidence, self-esteem, and motivation.

I am an LGBTQI+ affirming therapist and have worked with my clients on issues such as anxiety, bereavement and loss, sexuality and gender, relationships, panic attacks, existential issues, phobias, depression, and employment transitions.

My first session

If you are returning to therapy or starting therapy for the first time then I understand that this can be a daunting process. I will do my best to make you feel as comfortable as possible. In our initial meeting, we will start by getting to know one another and having a chat about anything you want to talk about.

Sessions will usually last for 50 minutes, at the same time each week and in the same location. I charge £80 per session and a reduced rate of £40 for our initial consultation. If you would like to book an initial session, or to ask me any questions, please contact me.
