About me and my therapy practice
I am a Senior Accredited member of the BACP with more than 11 years experience working in a variety of settings, including schools, charities and in private practice, as well as over seven years at the University of Cambridge Counselling Service. I am also a Supervisor and an Associate Lecturer at The Open University.
I provide therapy which is non-judgemental, encouraging and compassionate to support you in meeting life’s difficulties. Counselling offers an accepting and confidential space where you can talk about your worries and explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Meeting at a dedicated, regular time, we work collaboratively to enhance understanding and gain further insight about your life. People find that this leads to a sense of clarity about recurring patterns of behaviour, where you have felt stuck, or feeling lacking in confidence. Through this greater sense of awareness it is possible to make changes that help you to cope or to take decisions that will enable you to live differently.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from the University of Cambridge. This training was accredited by the BACP. I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and I have a Diploma in Supervision of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I also hold a BA in the History of Art from Bristol University.
