About me and my therapy practice
I will offer you a confidential space to work through whatever is troubling you. My aim is to offer you a relationship, currently on the phone or by zoom, where you feel safe enough to give time to the different aspects of yourself, become more aware of your choices and strengths, and find your own energy for healing, change and development.
As a therapist for many years I will draw on my experience of integrating different ways of working to help you in whatever way seems most helpful and appropriate for you. I have had the pleasure of working with people from many different cultures and backgrounds. I understand the uniqueness of how you and I would work together is unknown and you would need time to work out if I am the right therapist for you.

I will work to offer you a relationship where you feel safe enough to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. I will give you my full attention to develop your awareness of your needs and choices. I work creatively and with body awareness to enhance possibilities for change. Psychoeducation and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing may be helpful if you are coping with the impact of trauma.
My first session
if you decide to go ahead with a first session after an initial phone conversation you will have the opportunity to tell me more about your situation and how you are feeling. I will ask you more about yourself to help me work out how and if I am able to help you. I will explore with you what you are hoping for. We will also discuss confidentiality and the way I work. You might then like to reflect on whether you want to go ahead, and if you do and I think I am able to help you we can go ahead and book some more sessions. We will also discuss fees and consider in your situation what you can afford. This initial session is usually 60 minutes long.
