About me and my therapy practice

If you find yourself distressed or confused by a current situation, or affected by experiences from the past, counselling can help you!

You may sense that something is wrong, but cannot quite put a finger on it, feeling unable to to share these feelings with family or friends-I may be able to help you.

As a qualified counsellor, with experience of working with people in various states of distress, I will support you throughout your counselling, providing a safe and confidential space, while we explore the difficulties that you are facing, so that you can start to both understand and make more sense of them.

I will also help you to gain greater awareness of yourself, encouraging you to identify and express your feelings; thus enabling you to recognise often repeated, unhealthy and disordered thoughts and behaviours. This can lead you into identify alternative choices, enabling you to make the changes necessary to lead a healthier, more confident and fulfilling life

My approach to counselling is flexible, sensitive, respectful, and adapted to your personal needs.

I am an ardent believer in the lasting benefits that counselling (a 'Talking Therapy') can bring about and I do my best to demonstrate that enthusiasm and passion in my work with clients

I also offer counselling sessions via Skype.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor, with a BACP accredited Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling, both from the University of Hertfordshire.

I currently work in private practice, with adults of all ages and cultural backgrounds. I am based in Markyate, (close to St Albans, Redbourn, Luton and Dunstable).

I also work for the highly respected Counselling team at the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living and have previous experience of counselling with Her Majesty's Prison Service.
