About me and my therapy practice
I believe entering into counselling is a brave choice. Once you recognise you need help, counselling is your first step to exploring how to resolve the events and circumstances life throws at you.
Getting started
Your first session is a chance for you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you, and to discuss what has bought you to counselling and how I can help.
Ways I can help
I can offer short or long term therapy, helping with a range of common life problems such as, depression and low mood, self esteem, relationships (family dynamics as well as partners), LGBTQ+, stress and anxiety, and alcohol use.
I have spent many years working and specialising in bereavement, loss and change. I have also worked with neurologically-diverse clients, helping clients with the emotional effects of living with dyslexia in adulthood. Therefore my specialist knowledge is in, but not limited to these areas.
Types of therapy
Humanistic, Person centred
Clients I work with
Adults, Trainee
How I deliver therapy
Online counselling
Therapist - Romford, Harold Wood

About me and my therapy practice
In our first supervisory session we will explore together your counselling practice experience; wether you are in private practice, a student, or need a private supervisor for any other reason and what type of supervisory relationship you are looking for from your clinical supervision.
I am happy to offer clinical supervision to counsellors in part time private practice. I understand the intricacies of juggling private practice work around other paid employment and the challenges this can bring.
As well as exploring your therapeutic client work I can offer you guidance through setting up a new practice or reviewing your existing business practices to help you consider any improvements or support you through studying to qualify.
I can also support you through accreditation and as your supervisor I will be committed to your ongoing personal development.
Practice description
My foundation training in counselling was at The Minster Centre in an Integrative approach. I specialised and qualified in a Person-Centred approach, with Humanistic influences. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
My experience includes; working in a hospice; specialising in bereavement, loss and change. I work with clients exploring the emotional effects of living with dyslexia (and associated diagnosis) in adulthood. My most recent experience is as a COVID -19 first line trauma response; offering NHS medical and nursing staff emotional support during the pandemic.
I have also provided affiliated support to GIRES (Gender Identity Research and Education Society) and am a registered counsellor with BUPA and accept referrals.
Above are my areas of specialist knowledge/interest and in addittion I can help with a range of common life problems such as, depression and low mood, self esteem, relationships (family dynamics as well as partners), LGBTQ+, stress and anxiety, and alcohol use.
