- Improve your relationships
Gain insight into your challenges and learn a new set of strategies provided by an experienced counsellor & psychotherapist who can demonstrate success.
How I work
Confidential Counselling or Psychotherapy with me is about getting to the heart of things in a way that is hard to do with a relative or friend.
We will look at what causes your anxiety, difficult feelings, obsessive behaviours, or relational conflict. I will teach you easy and helpful methods to manage them, so you can have more control over your life.
People often feel nervous talking about their past, but don't worry. We will go through it at a comfortable speed for you. This will help you feel stronger as you move forward in life.
I'll help you figure out what you need and learn how to communicate about it clearly.
I have trained in various approaches to psychotherapy and worked with many kinds of people. My psychotherapeutic approach is eclectic and flexible, and will be different for each client. However, my approach is hugely influenced by body centred psychotherapies like Hakomi, Sensory Awareness, and Somatic Experiencing.
Media, Referrals & Testimonials
Alongside presenting The Stress, Anxiety & Binge-Eating Recovery Podcast, I speak, write and give expert opinion in the media. I specialise in content around managing stress, building self-confidence, finding healthy relationship and overcoming binge-eating.

Body-Centred/ Somatic Psychotherapy
One of the ways I help you to feel more comfortable in your own skin is through embodiment.
What this means is that I direct your attention to inner experiences via your sensations and feelings in your body. This is how to access the heart of your beliefs about life.
From this exploration comes the strength of knowing who you are, what you want, what’s troubling you, what your strengths are and all the resources you have available to you.
This helps you to move forward in a way that does more than just scratch the surface. This is healing through your body’s core. Made famous by practices like yoga and mindfulness, embodiment goes beyond CBT to the heart of the issue.
My first session
First Steps
Text or email me first. Tell me a little about what you're dealing with.
I will let you know if I have experience of working with your concern.
Then we can book an introductory session, set you up with a regular appointment time, or enrol you in a group.
I'll look forward to helping you work out what's best.
Your First Session
During an initial individual session, you can expect to receive support and to be listened to. I will guide you with questions to begin with. As we explore, you will likely gain some understanding of your patterns, and how to start to tackle your concerns. This will point you in the right direction.
My therapy sessions are typically 1 hour a week online, by phone, or 1 to 1 – depending on what you are comfortable with.
