About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to my profile. I'm Susan, and I am here to support you as you find your way to achieving the changes you want to make in your life.

I will not only listen to what you tell me, I will hear what you are saying.

I provide counselling for both adolescent and adult clients who are experiencing a wide range of issues including : generalised anxiety disorder, health anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, alcohol and substance dependency, family dynamics, low self-worth, anger, resentment, bereavement, loss, depression, long term health issues, carer responsibilities, stress and the ongoing impact of childhood experiences.

I have experience of supporting clients with ASD, Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked for over twenty years supporting children, young people and their families as they navigated the many challenges which relationships, life experiences and events can bring. I supported children and young people, including some experiencing attachment issues, ASD and ADHD.

Practice description

My private practice is based in my home where I offer brief and long-term counselling within a safe and comfortable environment, online and face to face.

With reference to the Covid 19 pandemic - I am still able to provide face to face counselling, providing you and your household are symptom free. My room is large enough to comply with social distancing and I follow all recommended precautions regarding hygiene and preventing the spread of Covid 19.

If you have a quiet, confidential space to talk at home, you may wish to consider telephone or video-call counselling as an alternative during these uncertain times.

If you think that talking about how you are feeling right now would help, please get in touch by email, phone or use the contact form on my website.

I look forward to hearing from you.
