About me and my therapy practice
I support clients experiencing a wide range of issues including: managing anxious thoughts and feelings, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, low self-worth, anger, resentment, bereavement, loss, depression, long term health issues, carer responsibilities, stress and childhood experiences.
I will not only listen, I will hear what you are saying, and feeling. I will help you to overcome your anxiety, low mood, fears, regrets, sadness, loneliness. Whatever it may be, I will support you as you find your way to achieving the changes you are seeking, enabling you to move forward in your own unique way.
By exploring together your low or anxious thoughts, I will help you to find peace of mind, to feel better about yourself and to see your way through issues which are holding you back. I have experience of working with those who support others, both professionally and as carers.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I supported children, young people and their families as they navigated the many challenges which relationships, life events and certain situations can bring. My background includes working with children and young people experiencing attachment issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Reg. MBACP. Post-Grad Dip. Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I abide by its Code of Ethics. This includes keeping up to date with continuing professional development and supervision. I have a special interest in Mindfulness and am also currently working towards gaining the CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Skills and Theory.
If you think talking about how you are feeling right now would help, please get in touch. Email, phone or use the contact form on my website: westkirbycounsellor.co.uk.
I look forward to hearing from you.
