About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Counsellor with a Person Centred Base. I specialise in pre and post bereavement, coping with life limiting illness and managing chronic illness, either yours or someone close to you. These life events can throw up all sorts of issues, often ones we don't expect, leaving you feeling isolated and adrift. Working together I can help you to explore thoughts and emotions to find your way forward and regain your sense of self. I have been involved as family support counsellor at Thames Hospice and currently volunteer with Alexander Devine Children's Hospice. I am passionate about giving support in these areas and believe that counselling really can make all the difference in how you cope during these times.
Practice descriptionAs a person centred practitioner I provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore and make sense of your experiences. We will then work together to identify what you need from our sessions. This may be short or long term work, we can review this as we go along. Session length is 60 minutes, I suggest that we start with 6 sessions.
My first sessionI offer a free 30 minute initial session so that you can understand the type of counselling I provide and to see if you feel we can work collaboratively together. You can ask any questions that come up for you so that you feel comfortable in your understanding of what our sessions together will provide.
