About me and my therapy practice
I will work alongside you while we explore any issues you are struggling with, in a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment. My aim is to help you to find the best way forward for you.
I use an integrative model, incorporating aspects of various therapeutic models, allowing us to tailor an approach to you and your needs, in a person centered way.
I believe in a strong therapeutic relationship and will look to nurture this while we explore how you see yourself, and look to discover and accept your true self.
During the current pandemic and the resulting lockdown guidelines I am offering remote sessions only, this includes video chat via Zoom or by telephone.
Once restrictions are lifted I will return to offering 1:1 sessions in my purpose built counselling room in my home.
My first session
Your first session will move at your pace, it will involve some paperwork and information about how I usually work, which should take about 10mins, then our 50min session will begin. We will look at what has brought you to counselling and why now? We will look at what you are aiming to gain from counselling, and look to set some goals in line with what you consider to be a positive outcome from our time together. This will give us a basic outline of treatment.
