About me and my therapy practice
In my role as a qualified counsellor, I possess the training and experience necessary to guide you through the process of understanding yourself and your world. Together, we can overcome whatever obstacles may be hindering your progress. To help foster positive changes in your life.
With a background spanning over 24 years as a Holistic Therapist and now a Therapeutic Counsellor, I have supported individuals dealing with a diverse range of issues, from common concerns like anxiety and relationship issues to more intricate and traumatic experiences.
My counselling services prioritise effectiveness and confidentiality. I offer both short and long-term counselling from an integrative perspective, drawing upon Client-Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. This allows me to tailor my approach to best suit your individual needs.
As a trained Counsellor and Holistic Therapist, I integrate my knowledge and skills to enhance your therapeutic experience.
Therapy has proven effective in addressing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges that we might face. Whether you're navigating periods of depression, stress, or anxiety, or dealing with other concerns, I invite you to reach out and explore how counselling may be beneficial for you.
Practice description
I primarily conduct adult sessions online through Zoom.
Additionally, I work from a therapy room in Rainham, Kent, providing a convenient, confidential, and comfortable space for in-person meetings.
I also offer Walk & Talk adult therapy sessions at local country parks too. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and am fully insured.
My first session
Consultation Call
From receiving your enquiry, we will organise a free consultation call at a mutually convenient time. I allow 20 minutes for this call. This helps me learn a little about you and your reason for contacting me. For you, this gives you the opportunity to learn about how I work, ask questions and decide if you feel comfortable talking to me.
If we both agree to work together then during this call we can arrange your initial appointment.
Initial Session
At your first session we will discuss and agree a contract of working together. I will ask you questions about your life, your history and we will start to explore the issues or challenges you wish to work through. At the end of this session we will agree the regularity of sessions moving forward.
Ongoing Sessions
After the initial session we will then continue to work together to explore your world and the areas you wish to focus on. We will also discuss and agree when to review the counselling experience so that we can reflect on your progress and how you are finding the therapeutic relationship. This can also help to work towards completion and endings.
