About me and my therapy practice

I predominantly work with 18-35 year-olds who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or low self esteem. Maybe you are feeling particularly worried or stressed, low in mood or energy, harsh with yourself or doubting your abilities, or some combination of these difficulties. The thoughts and feelings you are experiencing may feel “out of control” and this can be overwhelming to navigate alone. You might wish you felt more yourself, or maybe you would like to free up some mental energy to do more of what you enjoy, but you don’t know how.

Our work is to help you better understand and manage your thoughts and feelings so that they feel less overwhelming. My clients say that working with me has helped them to feel calmer, better equipped to face the challenges in their lives, and more able to form and maintain fulfilling relationships. I work with you by drawing from a variety of perspectives (person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT) depending on your personality, needs, and preferences.

My first session

FREE introductory call: If you might be interested in working with me, I encourage you to contact me to arrange a free 30-minute introductory video call.

It is important that you find a counsellor who is a good fit for you and this initial meeting can give both of us a sense of how we might work together. We can explore what brings you to counselling, what your hopes and expectations are, and whether you have any questions or concerns. If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions (50 minutes) are usually held weekly on an agreed day and time.
