About me and my therapy practice
Talking to me you will enable you to explore your difficulties in a meaningful, supportive, and professional manner. You will also feel that you have been heard and really understood in a non-judgemental way, possibility for the first time in your life.
You may be unsure why you feel so troubled in the first place. Working together will enable you to identify why you feel the way you do and comprehend the reasoning behind those feelings. Working at your pace to enable you to recognise those painful thoughts, feelings and emotions which may be holding you back. My support will enable you to have a greater understanding of your current issues and help you to locate inner-strength. Thus increasing your resilience and self-esteem to be able to face your problems with a greater level of self-confidence. Ultimately empowering you to move forward with your life in a happier, healthier, and more contented manner.
I specialise in working with people experiencing anxiety and depression. If you feel helpless and hopeless, I can help you identify where your issues lie enabling you to gain the strength you need to move forward at your own pace.
Another of my areas of strength is working with clients who have suffered a bereavement helping them to understand their own grieving process and why they feel the way they do.
I also have sound experience in Family issues, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Discussing these issues with me will enable you to understand yourself better.
There are many other areas in which I have gained experience over the years including addiction, dependant personality disorder, chronic illness, panic attacks, abortion, and low self-esteem.
My first session
You can call me anytime to a arrange a chat. I will ask you a little about what is troubling you and what you would like to gain from counselling sessions. If you are happy to proceed you can book sessions at times to suit you either weekly or fortnightly.
In your first session you can begin by talking about the issues which are troubling you. You may have one issue or manner. I will listen to you and paraphrase back what you have said so that you know you are being listened to.
