About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Sally.

I can provide a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive space for you to talk about anything you want to. I can help you understand yourself better and find your own voice. Therapy can help you to connect with your feelings, identify your own values, find meaning, and gain the courage to live your life more fully. I have a leaning towards person-centred and existential therapy but work in an integrative way which means I can adapt my approach to suit your own individual needs.

As a science teacher in East London, I gained a wide range of experience with people from all different backgrounds, interests, ages, genders and ethnicities. My job in a Sixth Form College gave me an understanding of a wide range of issues faced by young people starting out in life. I enjoy learning and my interest in physics fuels an interest in philosophy as another type of exploration into the world and how we understand our place within it. My life experience makes me well placed to help people going through life transitions and dealing with loss. I have a special interest in relationship and self-esteem issues.

I have a Postgraduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy and as well as my own practice I have been a therapist at a low cost counselling service in Clapham and I am a volunteer bereavement counsellor for a local hospice.
