About me and my therapy practice

I work with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing depression or low moods, anxiety or anxious thoughts, suicidal feelings, low self esteem, negative body image, identity issues, and those who have been through trauma, including sexual abuse (past/current). I am experienced in working with the LGBTQ+ community.  I also offer walking therapy to people 16yrs+.

I work in a non-directive way which means I won't just tell you what to do. We will work together so you feel in control and empowered by therapy.

I am trained to practice as a Level 7 (postgraduate) relational integrative psychotherapist.

Practice description

In a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, you will explore what got you to where you are now, and reflect on how you coped. We will then work together to increase your understanding of your thoughts, feelings & behaviours, and find a way to make things better for you. This may include inner child work, creating boundaries with people in your life, and increasing self-compassion.

I studied an integrative approach so I will work with you as an individual, integrating different therapies to suit your personal needs.

I work in private practice and I am employed by a sixth form college to provide counselling to adolescents.

I have also provided counselling in the charity sector and at a rape and sexual abuse service.

I previously worked as a Samaritan's Listener for over four years. During this time I realised the healing power of truly being listened to and believed by another person.

My first session

Reaching out to take the next step may feel difficult, but finding the right support really can change your life.

I offer an optional 15 minute consultation, for free, so we can speak before you make a commitment.

I also appreciate this may not be your first time reaching out and you may have felt let down by past experiences. This is why providing an honest and transparent service is so important to me. I offer a genuine, authentic and caring environment, and the consultation can explore any previous problems with counsellors/mental health services.

If you are a parent who is worried about their teen, you can enquire on their behalf initially to find out whether I could help support them. I would then offer them the consultation to see if they wanted to work together.

To find out more or to book the consultation, you can ring or email me and hopefully we can start working towards making things feel better.
