About me and my therapy practice

In periods of doubt and stress, we can feel intensely lonely.

As an integrative therapist I offer a calm, connected space in which we think creatively - find our hope. My practice is grounded in psychodynamic, humanistic, body and arts based psychotherapy.

My relaxed style embraces and values uniqueness and diversity. Our work will include an understanding of how cultural, family and work pressures impact your mental and physical well being.

We will enter into conversation, deliberately slowing down. We will be guided by what feels right for you. We want to create space to notice; to be curious; to find a voice for what can sometimes remain unspoken; to allow feelings to arise and be held which maybe crowded out, or conversely feel overwhelming, in your everyday life.

Practice description

Together we will talk about your present day life - the pleasures, and pressures in all the different roles in your life. We will unpick what sits underneath your distress. I will help you to form a clearer understanding of how your life history and past hurts may still influence how you behave or view the world. We look to understand and recognise patterns of thinking and relating which work for you, and conversely those which don't serve you well. Together we will find a tenderness and acceptance of who you are.

What's your truth?

We've all got a story to tell, feelings we find hard to share but find difficult to understand alone. In the telling, in the sharing, we can find new understandings and a peace with ourselves and past hurt. We can step into new ways of relating to ourselves and others. We can take our place in the world in ever more vital, creative and spontaneous ways.

Please do get in touch, we can start a conversation about how it would feel to work together.

Availability

I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor and therapist working in Mill Hill and Pimlico, offering both face to face and online sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

In periods of doubt and stress, we can feel intensely lonely.

As an integrative therapist I offer a safe, connected space in which we think creatively - find our hope. My practice is grounded in psychodynamic, humanistic, body and arts based psychotherapy. I offer a space in which we deliberately slow down, so we can notice you.

I work with you to look at what is troubling you. There is space to bring yourself just as you are, and you will be heard, you will be seen, you will be accepted for who you are. This is often received as deeply healing and validating.

We enter into a conversation, we will talk about your present day life, but we may also look at how past experiences have shaped how you are today. We will look to understand your distress, however that manifests, in problems in relationships, stress at work, addictions, feelings of not belonging, to name but a few.

We look to understand and recognise patterns of thinking and relating which work for you, and conversely those which don't serve you well. I offer you the possibility to find a tenderness towards yourself and your experiences. In this self acceptance a re-balancing happens which offers the possibility for change, growth, and healing.

If we can step into relating to ourselves differently we can also step into knowing ourselves in ever more vital, and fulfilling ways. We open up new ways of relating to others, and access the possibility of more spontaneous and creative ways of responding to life's complex, ever shifting demands.

If any of what you have read resonates for you please do get in touch. Lets' start a conversation about how it would feel to work together.

Practice description

I started my career as a social worker and have over 15 years of work experience supporting people with feelings of anxiety, depression and a sense of disconnect from themselves and others. This may play out in addictions, relationship problems, stress at work or maybe in general feelings of 'stuckness', numbness or distress.

My therapy training has included 6 years of intensive training in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at The Minster Centre and The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education.

Alongside my private practice I work with two charities one supporting single parents, the other working with clients with a positive HIV status.

My first session

At times of distress in our lives we can feel intensely lonely and disconnected from ourselves and others. I offer a safe, calm, unhurried space in which you can tell your story, be heard, and make sense of yourself and your place in the world.
