About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in integrative therapy, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to create a personalised and holistic approach for each client. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking greater self-understanding and growth, I am here to support you on your journey. My practice integrates elements from various disciplines, including Humanistic therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and a range of creative techniques for exploration to help with self-awareness and behaviour patterns. Being an integrative therapist, allows me to tailor our sessions to fit your unique needs and preferences.
Practice description
I am an integrative therapist, which means I can use a range of different types of therapy which will be tailored to your needs in an integrated way. I enjoy using creativity within sessions, as I believe this helps with emotional expression, looking at behaviour patterns & can bring up things which you are unaware of. My way of working will help with self-awareness & processing unhealed wounds.
I am client led, so you can bring whatever you want to the session, I will check in with how you feel a previous session went. Together we will work to build a therapeutic relationship which will be built upon honesty and trust.
I ensure to provide validation and recognition in difficult areas where you may have felt unseen and unheard. I endeavour to ensure you feel valued and listened to, and provide a space of non-judgement and a place for you to feel comfortable to emotionally express yourself.
I enjoy using creative tools throughout sessions to help with emotional expression and to provide further insight into your personal emotional awareness, to help build a sense of self. You will often find me with coloured pens, pencils, paper, objects (like stones and shells) and playdoh. All of which helps with emotional regulation, emotional expression and viewing parts of yourself or your life from a different perspective.
My first session
During your first session you can expect to fill out an assessment form with me and we will have a conversation about your presenting issues, what brings you to therapy, relationships and what your childhood was like for you. From this, we will both be able to determine if we can work together and if I am the right therapist for you.
