About me and my therapy practice

I work with individuals, couples and adolescents.  I am an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and mindfulness coach. I have worked for the NHS, Relate and CAMHS.  I work with a range of issues including relationships, low self esteem, anxiety, abuse, trauma, bereavement, depression, infertility and have many years of experience.  I offer counselling in a confidential, safe and trusting environment and work online, in a GP surgery and also my home practice.  I currently work for the NHS, and have many areas of specialism.  I can honestly say that you will leave the last session with the genius feeling that you have achieved what you came for; 'To feel better and more able to cope with life in general or a specific issue.'

Practice description

My counselling training has taken place over many years and is still ongoing as I believe it is important to keep my continued professional development updated.  I trained in Humanistic Person-centred, Existential, Gestalt and in CBT, Transactional Analysis and extended this further to Children and Adolescent training and couples counselling with Relate.  I am also a qualified supervisor and life coach.

I work in private practice based at Friarsgate Medical GP Practice and my home practice and my hours are flexible.

I am a senior accredited and registered member of the BACP, also accredited with the NCS.

My counselling experience started when I was supporting people who were suffering from depression, self harm, schizophrenia and other forms of mental health.  I then trained with Cruise Bereavement Care, working with them as a counsellor as well as the NHS, Relate and CAMHS.

I am passionate about counselling and have been privileged to work along side many individuals through their emotional journeys and know that counselling really has helped them feel less distressed and given them hope for the future.
