About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Jamila. I am an individual member of the BACP and qualified counsellor. My practice is based in Luton, near the Luton and Dunstable hospital.
People seek counselling for many reasons, from experiencing generalised anxiety, panic, depression, feeling sad or when experiencing relationship difficulties to the more complex issues, such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or abuse. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling, it is important that you feel safe and can can talk openly to your counsellor, so that you can build a therapeutic relationship together and work towards your personal development.
I am passionate about the work I do, I believe counselling can offer transformative changes to your wellbeing. I provide an integrative model of counselling (person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic), tailoring my approach to suit to your needs and goals.
I have worked within the NHS and charity sector, whilst managing my own private practice. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, I am currently offering telephone and online sessions.
