I see clients face-to-face, by Zoom and telephone. From late March - October I also see clients for walk and talk therapy in the Trafford area.

About me and my therapy practice

If you’d like understand to yourself better, make a change, feel more at ease with yourself or get support through a transition, I can help. I firmly believe that you write your own life story. But it can feel hard to face things alone or make sense of the challenges life can present. For me, the most rewarding part of what I do is seeing someone grow. I'm curious, human, professional and compassionate. I offer a free 20-minute chat if you'd like to understand more about how I work and to get a feel for whether I would be right for you.

I support clients with a range of issues such as anxiety (including panic attacks, generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety); stress (including work-related stress); depression and feeling sad; loneliness; low self-esteem and low self-confidence; relationship challenges such as difficulties with partners, friends or families, affairs and betrayals, separation and divorce; bereavement, grief and loss; LGBTQ+ issues such as gender and sexuality questioning or experiences of discrimination; and attachment difficulties. I have a particular interest in working with people who are experiencing a transition period in their life, whether that's children leaving home, menopause, coming out, a relationship breakdown, a bereavement, changing career or city, retirement or something else. These transition periods can bring up a range of emotions that can feel overwhelming and bewildering. I can help you understand yourself better and make sense of your changing landscape.

Perhaps you have been thinking for a little while that it would be good to talk to someone in a confidential and safe space. We can all have times when we struggle - therapy and counselling do not need to be a last resort.

🏳️‍🌈 I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative, sex and fat positive counsellor.

Practice description

I offer a warm, down to earth and professional service.

I hold sessions in-person, by phone, online (Zoom) and walk-and-talk sessions. My therapy room is in Urmston (M41), which is a short walk from Urmston station.

Daytime sessions are £55 and evening sessions are £70.

My main way of working is person-centred, although I am also able to use a range of techniques and approaches. Some examples include coaching, transactional analysis, compassion focussed therapy and mindfulness techniques.

In addition to my counselling work, I am an executive coach and psychological wellbeing consultant. I first started coaching in 2009 and have used my skills in a variety of settings. I specialise in supporting professionals who want to flourish – in whatever way that means to them. This typically involves work in understanding yourself, your values, your hopes and aspirations, your unique talents and the internal barriers that may hamper you from being who and how you want to be.

I offer two places at a reduced rate for students and trainee counsellors / therapists. Please get in touch for further details. I ask for payment on or before the session by bank transfer.

My website is updated with information about my current availability.
