About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to my profile.

I believe in the value of every human being and I offer you my attentiveness, empathy and honesty supporting you with whatever you bring to therapy. I provide a quiet, calm and confidential space where you will be listened to and heard. I cannot provide the answers or tell you what to do, but we can work together to obtain more insight and understanding of whatever you choose to share.

I work with adults and adolescents and have gained valuable experience working with people from all walks of life aged 11+ including The Olive Tree charity and local senior schools. Alongside my private practice I also work part time as a School Counsellor at The Sweyne Park School in Rayleigh, Essex. I hold an enhanced DBS and am fully insured.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework which means my clients can be assured that I am committed to putting their best interests at the heart of our work together. Practice description

I offer face to face sessions from my garden room situated on the borders of Southend on sea and Eastwood. Off street parking is available and a few bus routes also serve the local area. If you would like assurance around the Covid guidelines please mention this when you contact me as they are regularly under review.

Alternatively I offer video counselling via Zoom or Teams

My sessions are 50 minutes and the duration is open ended meaning you decide whether you would like short term or long term therapy. This is regularly reviewed together so we can ensure you are getting the most out of your therapy.

My first session

I understand it can be nerve wracking taking those first steps towards finding someone to confide in or even know where to begin. This is why I offer an initial no obligation free 15 minute telephone/video call consultation so we can explore what you would like from therapy and if we are able to work together.

For 11-16's I welcome parents/guardians to meet me face to face with their child for the initial consultation.

After the initial consultation you can decide if you would like to go ahead with therapy sessions or not.
