About me and my therapy practice

I work with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues in a comfortable and confidential venue close to the centre of York, with local and public car parking and near to bus and rail routes. I offer both short and long-term counselling support, using Transactional Analysis and Gestalt theories. I offer a no-obligation first session at which I can learn a little about what's troubling you; you can ask any questions and at the end of the session you can decide if you would like to come for a set of sessions.

My first session

During the first session I will ask you various questions to get some background about you and what has brought you to counselling.  I will also share a little about the theory that I use during counselling sessions. It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you might have about counselling or the process. We can discuss reductions in fees, if you are on a low income or a student.

I charge my standard fee (or an agreed reduced fee) for this first session.
