About me and my therapy practice

Hi from Experience I have learned of the benefits of offering a free consultation prior to committing to therapy. This gives you the opportunity to meet and see how you feel in what is a unique situation. The counselling relationship offers you the chance to explore feelings and behaviours that may be causing you disruption in your daily living, relationships etc.  It's a rare opportunity to stop for a while, and be the centre of the process. It doesn't matter when you decide to have counselling, if it feels like the right thing to do.

We are all in a very unique situation at the moment with Covid-19 and sometimes separated from family and friends. Routine is different and possibly working has stopped. Confusion and feelings is uncertainty and isolation are an understandable response to our current experience.

I am a person centred therapist which means you as the client are at the centre of the counselling process.

Counselling is about being able to be open with feelings that you may have not expressed before... afraid of being judged. Not understanding why you feel as you do.

My role is to help you to gain insight into how you feel.

I hope that the above helps a little to understand what to expect.
