About me and my therapy practice
Due to Covid restrictions, I have changed my way of working and am now offering online and telephone counselling.
Life is particularly difficult right now with the added challenges of Coronavirus. We're all trying to adapt and deal with uncertainty and living with all sorts of limitations on our normal life. Now, more than ever perhaps, we're experiencing feelings of stress, anxiety, depression and fear. Our thoughts can become overwhelming, leaving us feeling disconnected, isolated and lonely.
I am an experienced, resourceful and optimistic counsellor. I believe small changes in the way we think can make a big difference to the way we feel. I work with individuals, couples and teenagers. Whatever is troubling you, my aim is to help untangle the knot and clear a path to a more peaceful and fulfilling future.
Life is particularly difficult at present, dealing with uncertainty, financial pressure and health concerns, increasing feelings of stress, anxious, depression or general unhappiness. It can be really helpful to talk things through; to hear your thoughts out loud, in private, with a professional; someone who is caring, accepting and responsive without being emotionally involved.
My aim is to explore whatever's troubling you and hopefully help you see the possibility of a brighter future.
I have worked in various settings: as mental health professional for a charity, lead counsellor in a large GP practice and student counsellor within primary, secondary and university settings. I've experience of teenagers suffering stress and anxiety to eating disorders or dysfunctional family lives. My work with adults covers individuals and couples. I have worked with cancer diagnosis, post traumatic stress and all related issues.
I am now working online/phone. This may not feel ideal but during lockdown it has worked well and allows the creation of a safe and open professional relationship. It also gives more flexibility for sessions to fit into a convenient time. Please feel free to get in touch and I'll do my best to help with any questions.

I suggest a short initial session, no fee, to discuss expectations, answer any questions and see whether we feel we could work well together.
