About me and my therapy practice
I am a Senior Accredited BACP Counsellor, FPC, and UKCP member, and have been supervising for 15 years. psychotherapists, trainees, and Counselling Psychologists. I train and supervise on Integrative and Psychodynamic Counselling training courses. My training also includes CBT.
I have a background of counselling and supervising in charitable organisation, primary care (GP surgeries) in the NHS, Community Mental Health Teams, Psychotherapy Department (NHS), Employment Agency Programs, as well as private practice. I have worked and supervised therapists in a number of settings including:- NHS, social services, school, college and university as well as agency work with sexual abuse, bereavement, immigration, domestic violence, addictions, women's and men's organisations. Therefore my experience has been with a diverse spectrum of clients, their presenting issues and mental health problems, this is inclusive of long and short term/time limited contracts. I have also spent a great deal of time working with adolescents both within groups and individually as well as children.I have experience of working and supervising in primary care,secondary care, within charities, privately and EAP work.
