About me and my therapy practice
There are times when we could all benefit from some help in processing what we are thinking and feeling. I provide a reflective non-judgemental space to explore the feelings and experiences that are causing you difficulties. Gaining understanding into the way we think feel and relate to ourselves and others can provide relief and the opportunity for change. The aim of therapy is to help you feel more comfortable with yourself and achieve your full potential.
I have 30 years experience working in health care in a variety of settings, and have been working as a Counsellor since 2005. I am trained in the psychodynamic approach to counselling and believe the relationship we create is essential to the nature of our work together.
As part of my commitment to professional and personal development I engage with a range of opportunities including workshops, therapy and group work. I believe we never cease learning and the more we know about ourselves the better we are equipped to lead satisfying lives.
I work with individuals experiencing abuse; anxiety;depression; anger; cancer and life threatening illnesses. Including issues relating to physical and mental health; personal development; self-esteem; work and relationships.
I offer individual short term focal therapy around a particular issue, in addition to offering long term open-ended therapy to address issues in more depth at your pace.
