About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I'm an experienced counsellor working from convenient locations in West Jesmond and Newcastle city centre. As an Integrative counsellor I use a number of therapeutic approaches and techniques to best meet your individual needs tailoring therapy to suit you. The main therapeutic techniques are draw Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused therapy, underpinned by a supportive therapeutic relationship, which research has shown is the most important aspect for successful therapy. I have experience working with all age groups, including young people and University students.
Problems I've worked with include: anxiety, stress, worry, panic, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, existential crisis, relationship issues, family issues, low self esteem, identity issues, bereavement and loss, domestic abuse, anger issues, life transitions and suicidal ideation.
Choosing to pursue counselling can be a big decision and its important you find a therapist you feel comfortable with and trust. I aim to create a safe, confidential and supportive space for you to explore and work through your problems at your own pace.
