Due to the pandemic i am currently holding sessesion via telephone skype or zoom . Sessions are held weekly and the day and time are discussed and arranged mutally between the Therapist and client.
About me and my therapy practice
I work in an integrative way as i believe each person's issues are unique and must be approached empathetically and with authenticity and the sessions are tailored to the issues that you present. I feel it is important not only to listen but to understand making sure as a therapist I am meeting the individuals needs i am especially interested in helping you to explore childhood trauma as a way of looking at how past trauma affects present relationships.
I am a kind caring and patient person and good at listening. I enjoy working with people this is reflected in my work as a Therapist I have also worked for many years for the NHS. I enjoy working with individuals helping them to explore personal experiecnes and issues in a safe and supportive space. I find that my non-judgemental nature Is a positive attribute to enhancing the Therapeutic relationship between myself and the client.
My first session
The first session is to establish what you would like to gain from therapy and to clarify if I am the right therapist for you if you feel that I am we would then discuss the contract and talk through the issues that you are concerned about. I am a registered member of the BACP, and confidentiality is paramount in the work I do with clients.
