About me and my therapy practice
I am a bereavement counsellor that works in a Person-Centred manner. I can support you in your grief and throughout the bereavement process, together we can work through your thoughts and feelings. Gaining support from friends and family can ease the pain of loss, however, there are occasions that this support may not feel enough.
I have a deep understanding and knowledge of grief and have worked with various clients and a broad range of loss.
My role as a counsellor is to provide an empathic, supportive, and understanding relationship built on trust. Through this relationship and my knowledge, we would work out a solid plan for wellbeing working towards a positive outcome for you. I believe there is no greater privilege than facilitating the process of healing for someone.
I have been able to effectively help individuals suffering with anxiety and panic attacks. I have also worked the following issues: negative self-talk, family issues, anxiety, depression, self-harm, loneliness, childhood trauma and its impact, and many other areas.
I offer the time and space where we can talk and together, we can make sense of any current difficulties you may be experiencing. I feel that you should not have to live life defined by damaging and hurtful experiences of the past. Times of struggle and crisis can often offer real opportunities for personal change and can be a catalyst for reflection and self-inquiry leading to personal growth.
I offer a safe space in which you can explore any current difficulties you may be experiencing. Together through therapy you can find suitable solutions to help you move forward and get back on track.
My room is located within a business park located within Grantham. It has free parking available and upon entry you will be required to sign in at the reception desk. This is for fire safety purposes.
My first session
I offer a free initial assessment of twenty minutes. This provides an opportunity for us to talk about how I work and the current difficulties you are experiencing. Finding the right counsellor is very important, you have to feel comfortable with your therapist.
This session can be conducted via telephone, video link or face to face.
