I work purely online via video calls on Zoom. Online counselling and talking therapies have become increasingly popular since COVID-19. Online counselling means you can attend your sessions from the comfort of your own space, all you need is a computer or smart phone.

My working days are currently Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-6pm.

This way of working has been extremely useful for previous clients. I've had experience with individuals who's anxiety prevented them leaving the house, individuals with health conditions meaning they needed to stay indoors, Carers who found it difficult to find the time to get to a face-to-face counsellor, and some who did not drive or didn't want to use public transport. Payments are made by bank transfer.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you find it hard to put yourself first, unable to say no, or feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope? Want to make changes but unsure where to start? Are you struggling with your job, finding it hard to care about your work or unsure if you want to go in a different direction but scared to take the leap? Do you feel dread and find it hard to go to sleep, to face your next day? Are you struggling as a new parent or having to witness your child being on a neonatal unit and feel alone in this? Sometimes we want change but not sure how to take the smallest step forward. You looking into counselling is an amazingly brave first step.

Yes, a journey in counselling is daunting but you don’t need to do this alone. I believe everyone has the capability to start blossoming! I have experience working with new parents, NHS workers and those who want change. I help clients find their own unique answers as well as strength to face life's challenges, find their self worth.

I understand asking for help is very often a scary prospect. Speaking to a stranger about your worries can feel daunting. Maybe you are unsure how counselling can help? Talking through the thoughts in your head and the emotions you feel can be extremely empowering and can give you the space to find yourself, your strength and your voice.

Practice description

I am a qualified as a person-centred Counsellor. Previously I have also worked as a childrens nurse, specialising in burns treatment and neonatal care.

Are you feeling lost?

Do you find it hard to put yourself first, unable to say no, or feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope? Want to make changes but unsure where to start? Consider taking steps forward to putting yourself first by having a free introductory session with me. I can help you find your strength and feel more confident. Investing in counselling can help you find yourself, when all you felt previously was not being loved or cared for to moving towards loving and respecting yourself.

Feeling dread when you think of going back into work?

Are you struggling with your job, finding it hard to care about your work or unsure if you want to go in a different direction but scared to take the leap? Do you feel dread and find it hard to go to sleep before your next shift?

The stress you may be feeling, the difficulty in explaining how hard work is to people who may not understand what it's like. Consider reaching out for counselling so you can enjoy your days off and find a better work/life balance. To feel strong enough to prioritise yourself.

Are you finding life difficult after having a new baby?

Having a baby can feel like a whirlwind of emotions. It's common to feel overwhelmed, like you aren’t good enough or feeling you are failing. This can be even more difficult if your pregnancy or birth was difficult or traumatic. Maybe you have had a baby who was premature or was unwell when they were born. I previously worked as a neonatal nurse which has given me vast experience helping parents who feel like they are struggling to connect with their baby. Both mums and dads can feel lost and overwhelmed by the new world of being a parent.

My first session

I offer a free Introductory session which is 30 minutes. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have. I will give you an overview of how I work and what to expect from your sessions. I will send you a copy of my contract for you to read.
