About me and my therapy practice
There can be a lot of stigma surrounding mental health and therapy. It often takes courage to recognise the need within yourself to ask for help. If you are considering starting therapy then you have already taken the first step. Things can sometimes get difficult in life, everybody has ways of trying to get through difficult times on their own but sometimes it can feel overwhelming. Therapy can help during such times, there could be something specific that is bothering you or perhaps you are unsure as to why you are feeling the way that you are. Therapy provides a confidential, safe and consistent space for us to think together, it is a place where we can explore your thoughts and feelings from the past and present. Perhaps there are things that you feel that you cannot talk to anybody about, therapy is a place where you can bring all of your thoughts and feelings.
My approach to therapy is psychodynamic, I provide long-term open ended and short-term therapy to adults over 18.
If you are considering starting therapy we will have an initial session, usually called an assessment. Sessions then take place at the same time each week and last 50 minutes.
