Availability
I offer appointments from 9am until 6pm, Monday to Friday. I have a limited number of evening or weekend appointments for couples work. I can offer flexibility for those whose schedules change week to week, but recommend appointments are on the same day and time each week where possible.
About me and my therapy practice
**Currently have availability for online (Zoom) sessions and therapy room is large enough to enable 2m distancing**
Feeling anxious or depressed? Needing help to work through relationship, family or career issues? In addition to long-term personal therapy, I work with individuals and couples on a short term basis, focussing on specific issues and helping identify where these issues may have links to the past.
I have completed a certificate in counselling and a four year MA in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am UKCP registered and am also a member of the BACP. I have regular supervision with a UKCP registered supervisor. I am registered with AXA and open to working with other insurance providers.
I have experience in both short and long-term work, covering a wide range of issues. This experience was gained working as a counsellor in a university setting, as well as a psychotherapist for a charity that supports elderly clients. I have a strong appreciation of other cultures, having studied and worked in a number of different countries.
My approach varies, depending on the client's needs and what issues they want to work on. This is something we would explore in the initial session. If you have any questions or would like to get a better sense of who I am and how we might work together, please do not hesitate to give me a call.
Practice description
I am based in a convenient location in Edwalton/Gamston area of Nottingham, on a number of bus routes and close to the A52. My practice room is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible.
I work both online and face-to-face. I do home visits for clients who are unable to attend in person due to health or other mobility reasons. If this is the case we would agree an additional fee that would cover mileage and travel time.
My first session
I always recommend an initial assessment session. This is an opportunity for me to get to know you and learn a bit more about your background and what you are hoping to get from counselling or therapy. It is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and ask any questions you might have. This session is up to an hour in length and my normal fees apply.
