About me and my therapy practice

I use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) specialising in adult depression and anxiety problems. I am able to conduct sessions in English, Spanish and French. Working online, I merge my experiences of living and working abroad with comprehensive training in conducting therapy online. I do my best to help clients break down possible barriers to this form of therapy.

My training in the UK (Diploma of Psychology & PG Dip in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy) honed the competences gained during more than 10 years of humanitarian work overseas, as communication skills or my capacity to empathise and connect on a deeper level.

Practice description

I mainly use protocols and methodologies from cognitive behavioural therapies adapted to online services.

To work with depression-related problems, I prioritise the steady return to daily activities. Together with the person, we will also find ways to break that negative train of thoughts by using cognitive and behavioural exercises. When working with low self-esteem, the process is similar. In addition, it includes assertivity and certain aspects of schema therapy.

In regards to anxiety, the protocol will be adapted to the type of presented anxiety. They often aim at identifying the triggers of anxiety. From that point, we elaborate behavioural experiments that help confronting those situations with a different perspective. When necessary, we will also practice relaxation techniques.

In general, my practice is a constant collaboration between therapist and client. We both engage in a process that aims at empowering the person towards a meaningful change in his/her life.



My first session

I suggest an initial free 20-minute conversation. This will help me to better understand the person's needs, what they are looking for and whether or not I can help. It will also help clients to get to know the way I work and clarify any questions they might have.
