About me and my therapy practice
I am available to speak to clients via Skype, Zoom, other video applications or telephone and when circumstances allow I will resume face to face sessions in my private counselling room.
I can offer support with relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, feeling sad, depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and family issues that may be causing you pain.
Sometimes difficulties may feel overwhelming and I am trained to listen to you and to reflect on what you bring in a thoughtful, contained and non-judgemental way. This can allow you to understand yourself, your relationships and experiences better and to make sense of difficulties you may be facing.
My private counselling practice is located in Whiteley, Fareham. This is conveniently positioned between Southampton and Portsmouth, just off the M27 at junction 9. I am a 20 minute walk from Swanwick train station.
I offer an initial half-hour session at no charge that allows you to explore whether counselling with me may be of assistance.
Feel free to contact me by email or leave a message on my answerphone (please wait 30 seconds for my greeting) and I will reply as soon as I am available.

I offer short and long term work with adults on an individual basis, meeting once a week. I am trained to listen and to work with you by reflecting on what you bring in a thoughtful and contained way.
Counselling can assist in helping to lead a more contented and satisfying life. I have been working as a private counsellor for 6 years and for the 4 years previous to that I worked for a charitable organisation in Southampton where I completed my training.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethical framework for good practice. I am also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS).
My first session
If you would like to explore counselling with me we can arrange to meet for an initial consultation session lasting half an hour which I offer free of charge.
This would enable us to think about what has prompted your enquiry and how counselling with me could meet your needs.
If we proceed with therapy after the initial consultation our sessions would be once weekly with each session lasting fifty minutes and costing £40.
The number of sessions is something that we would discuss at the initial meeting. This would be reviewed as we progress, with some clients feeling a few sessions are helpful. You may, however, choose to take a longer term view to pursue open ended work.
