About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name's David.
Whatever you're struggling with at the moment, if you need somewhere to lift the weight from your shoulders, or maybe get some clarity, then I offer an accepting, non judgmental relationship to help you find the right way forward.
I currently work online using Zoom, which as well as being a way of connecting with friends and family at this time, is also an effective and practical way off accessing counselling.
I try not to put people in boxes with labels on, but I have helped people suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self esteem, grief, anger management and more.
Alongside my private practice I also provide counselling for a secondary school in Reading and I'm a facilitator on a counselling training course.
As well as being a counsellor, I enjoy writing spoken word poetry. Where appropriate I try to bring this creativity to my counselling work, through the use of metaphor and imagery to help you explore and understand yourself.
I have a particular interest in how social and environmental issues such as climate change can affect our mental health, and providing a space for people to voice these concerns and find a way forward.
