Practice description

I currently work face to face in Bromley,  or online using Zoom video (meaning you can fit therapy into your life wherever you have access to confidential space).

You may wish to talk about something in your session that is currently happening in your life, your relationships, work, feelings, or dreams. Sessions are yours to explore whatever emerges. The process may find links to your past that illuminate your present. Therapy is a space where you come to understand yourself better.

As a trained psychodynamic therapist, my approach involves delving into your inner world to uncover how past experiences, particularly from childhood, shape your current emotions and behaviours. It’s akin to putting together a jigsaw puzzle of your life, where we   look at how past experiences influence your   current behaviour and emotional state. We collaboratively explore these deep-seated patterns and unresolved conflicts, aiming to heal old wounds and foster conscious, fulfilling connections.

My work is also informed by attachment theory, we examine how early relationships influence your interactions and relationships today, working to untangle and refine these emotional blueprints for healthier connections. I have a special interest in in trauma and dissociation, my trauma-informed practice acknowledges the impact of your experiences, treating emotional responses as normal reactions to extraordinary events. Maybe you hide parts of you from others for fear you will be misunderstood. All parts of you are welcome to therapy!

It is my job to listen and support you whether you bring an issue located in the here and now or rooted in your past.

My first session

The first session is a chance to meet each other and see if you feel we could work together, it is important that you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. There will be time to ask any questions or concerns you may have.  You can then book ongoing sessions if you would like to.
