About me and my therapy practice
I have had experience sitting in with clients that have experienced loss and are struggling to cope with their grief. My work has included working at a bereavement charity where I help clients unravel their untold story. I work on both a short term and open ended basis.
My experience includes bereavement, loss, low mood, relationship difficulties and conflict.
I work from a person-centred attachment modality with I can discuss with you further in our assessment call.
Each counselling session is 50 minutes long. I will start by asking you to describe what has brought you to therapy. Often this can unmask some deep rooted and uncomfortable emotions. It is important to give space and time to explore these feelings, however challenging it may be. I will always be guided by you as the client and we will investigate issues together, at your own pace. I will always give a warning before the end of the session and I encourage all clients to have a few minutes at the end of each session for themselves before resuming normal life.
I will always treat everything you tell me with the greatest respect. I recognise that it can be really hard to talk to someone about your problems. I always aim to be understanding, warm and empathetic.
