About me and my therapy practice

Have you experienced a past or recent trauma or loss, or emotional abuse? You may feel overwhelmed, alone, or numb. Over the years I've helped clients to reduce symptoms, work through and come out the other side of trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where I help you to understand the different parts of yourself and your experiences. Working together to heal your past, and grow into the potential of your authentic self. I draw on my psychodynamic psychotherapy training as well as my yoga background (mindfulness, somatics, neuroscience & neurobiology).

I help people to feel grounded, to think clearer, and to know their 'window of tolerance' so that they can emotionally regulate and explore their inner experiences (however frightening). This leads to feeling safer within themselves and in relationships. Together the therapy is a journey to explore and understand past experiences and significant relationships (which may be forgotten, confusing or overwhelming) and learn how these experiences affect the body, mind, current life situation and relationships.

My special interest lies in the interconnectedness between the body and mind in trauma. I've worked in trauma services (the Trauma Unit at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, and as staff counsellor supporting critical care staff throughout the worst wave of the Covid pandemic). I am currently in private practice in West Wimbledon and Surrey, and online worldwide.
