About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Jim.
My training is in Relational Integrated therapy, which basically means that the sessions are collaborative and client-centred with ideas introduced from other therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Human Givens, CBT and Compassion-focused Therapy, (the most important aspect of this being what works for my clients).
I currently work on Zoom, but am in the process of arranging an office for face to face sessions later in the year.
I generally work in quite a relaxed, supportive manner, but can up the challenge level in line with client preferences if required.
My first session
A free, initial 20 minute telephone or Zoom conversation is offered to begin with. I don't formally work through assessments, but this this gives you the chance to advise what it is you want from the therapy, and decide if I am the type of person you feel that you can work with.
