About me and my therapy practice
To get the most out of therapy it is crucial that you feel safe, supported, and comfortable sharing whatever is on your mind. Therapy is about giving you a forum where you can do just that whilst being listened to, without judgement or disruption, which sometimes doesn't happen in our everyday lives.
My clinical experience began 4 years at the Sangam Centre and CPPD's Counselling facility in North London, where I helped a diverse client base with their psychological well being, and I've been running my own practice for the past year.
The approach that I use is integrative, which means that I draw upon different techniques such as CBT, humanistic and psychodynamic, which may involve exploring links between the past and the present to help you make the decisions that are right for your future. My specialities include anxiety, depression, abuse and relationship issues.
An initial assessment session will help both of us identify issues, and decide whether to proceed and work together. If we decide to continue therapy sessions, then at least 12 sessions are a realistic commitment, after which we can assess if more sessions are needed.
